16. MY OPENER RUNS BUT NOTHING IS HAPPENING

Have you checked to make sure the trolley is not disengaged? That is the part that has the rope hanging down in the middle of your opener. If NO-check that first. If YES-then you might have a broken trolley. We can quote you a price for replacement

17. I HAVE TO HOLD THE WALL BUTTON DOWN TO CLOSE THE DOOR

It sounds like your photo sensors are not aligned, you might want to check those first. See if you have a blinking light on one side, you have to move them until you have a solid light; if that does not work please call us back to schedule service.

18. WHAT SIZE LIGHT BULBS SHOULD I USE IN MY OPERATOR?

We recommend using nothing larger than a 60-watt bulb. Your opener will say 100 watt is OK, but we find it might eventually melt the lens cover.

19. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OPENERS YOU SELL AND HOME DEPOT?

The openers we sell are professional brand openers that are constructed with solid beam rail rather than a butted together rail that flexes and has a tendency to make a lot of noise and have many problems in the future. If you have a problem with an opener you buy at a retail outlet you will have to take it down and return it for the warranty. You will typically save $80 purchasing from a retail store, but it is not worth the headache and aggravation we have heard from our customers. We can furnish and install a professional.

20. IS IT NECESSARY TO CHANGE THE ROLLERS ON MY DOOR?

It depends if they are worn or not. They can cause bigger problems if the wheels come off the door. Please call us to schedule an inspection. If we find them to be worn they will need to be replaced. We will replace them with 10 ball bearing rollers that are superior to what is typically installed with your door. We can give you this cost over the phone.
